Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, socially and educationally backward classes and budget 2014–15

This chapter analyses the first Budget 2014–15, presented and passed in the Parliament’s Budget Session 2014, of the new government that assumed power in May 2014. It details the areas in which budget allocations are required for socially and economically vulnerable sections of people, and presents a road map to the present and future governments on non-negotiable measures to ensure social justice and equality for all, especially for the SCs, STs and SEBCs.
