ABSTRACT

The reason for putting "The Significance of Legal Procedure" first is an intuition that procedural justice is the key to China's institutional innovation. It is also widely regarded as the author's most representative work. In the judiciary, the institutional construction for implementing impartial procedures is on the rise, and even to some extent, showing a trend that certain political issues were turned into legal issues, which were proceduralized, and some procedural issues were turned into technical issues. The aim of the new form of proceduralism and other relevant studies is to push forward the modernization of China's legal system. From an academic perspective, the major contributions of these papers are to incorporate the idea of procedural justice into China's context, match the legal procedures with the corresponding interactive activities in the social network, and highlight the possibility and comparability of institutional design.
