ABSTRACT
It is undoubtedly the case that virtually all subjects of Experiment I would have passed more formulas had they been tested two or more years later. To account for such development in light of our model necessitates positing development in either the competence component, the performance component, or both. A correct theory, however, must account for the results of a further data analysis.
