ABSTRACT

This chapter will cover eight specific coaching questions and interventions that I have personally found to be serving all of the above during the past two decades. There is some boldness and some risk in this, and risk is the building block for rapport. You are looking to collect information with regard to their primary characteristics and their self-perception, both negative and positive. Are they ambitious, stubborn, flexible, compulsive, introvert. Recording this response will come in very handy in the course of the coaching relation, since it will enable a deep exploration of the discrepancies of the client's self-perception and other people's perception of them, especially when combined with a customised 360. What is an issue are the Subconscious Strategic Distance Regulators (SSDR). These SSDR are the chronic and therefore strategic in nature barriers we place in our connection with others, with the aim of maintaining our safe distance.
