ABSTRACT
In Chapter 18 we talked about IDEA 2004 as it relates to special education services. Children identified with a disability do not necessarily require these services. Some may have a disability but are not eligible for special education under IDEA 2004. In this chapter we will briefly talk about Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the new Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act of 2008 (ADAAA), and then discuss how modifications can be implemented in the regular education setting through the use of a 504 Plan.
