Wideband wearable antennas for communication systems are crucial in novel wearable communication systems. Slot antennas are low profile and low cost and can be employed in wearable communication systems. The dynamic range and the efficiency of communication system can be improved by using active wearable antennas. Wideband wearable antennas for communication systems are crucial in novel wearable communication systems. Slot antennas are low profile and low cost and can be employed in wearable communication systems. The dynamic range and the efficiency of communication system can be improved by using active wearable antennas. Tunable slot antennas consist of a slot antenna and a voltage-controlled diode, known as a varactor. The antenna resonant frequency can be tuned by using a varactor to compensate for variations in antenna resonant frequency at different locations. Active slot antennas are devices combining a radiating element with active components such as amplifiers and diodes.
