ABSTRACT

The Lean Enterprise Operational Management System (LEOMS) is a company's best investment to improve their odds of not just surviving but also thriving long term. This is a strong argument as to why every company should implement the LEOMS. To be of great sustaining value, operational systems must continually enable and enhance an enterprise's strategic value proposition. The LEOMS accomplishes this with powerful and effective processes and tools starting with Hoshin Kanri, a proven process and tool set to ensure that both operational improvement and longer-term strategic capabilities are being improved year after year. Achievement of strategic and operational plan critical few metric targets is accomplished through direct linkage to frontline operational process improvement targets and projects focused on every day until they are achieved. This chapter explains how to use the LEOMS's implementation model by applying its processes and tools to begin realizing real financial and strategic benefits.
