ABSTRACT
This chapter is devoted to the uniqueness characterization of the solutions to the problems (2.1)–(2.3). Since each of these problems is of independent interest and has their own broad applications in sparse signal and image recovery, we provide a detailed analysis for each of these problems. In the next two chapters, we will discuss how the uniqueness characterization made in this chapter can be
used to deeply interpret the relationship of 0-and 1-minimization problems and to develop a theory for sparse signal recoveries.
