ABSTRACT

This chapter reiterates the key empirical and conceptual contributions of the book before exploring four key themes that emerge across both the theoretical and empirical chapters of the book. This is not intended to merely repeat points that have already been made, but instead, to gather together strands that cut across the book. These four themes are: (i) the multiple derivative logics through which financial security operates, (ii) the performative politics of misfire, (iii) the political emboldenment of the Bank of England and (iv) the relation between money cultures and processes of capitalization.
