ABSTRACT

PURPOSE

There is considerable debate among academics and business practitioners about key factors of existence and development of organizations and employees; of which the important one is the value of the use of social networking by organizational members. An important factor of the employee development is certainly employee satisfaction at the workplace, because it defines the way the employees experience the work, and because it influences people’s attitude towards their jobs. Since working in the field of information technology (IT) and high technology is challenging, and the development cycle is changing rapidly, the satisfaction of employees at the workplace is very important for company success. Job satisfaction is also an important factor that shapes the future career of the individual. In this chapter, the characteristics of employee satisfaction are shown between the four countries in the field of IT covered by the survey.
