ABSTRACT

Images of place in both art and dreams can be representative of states of being. Outside places can remind us of inner places. We also project feelings about ourselves onto landscapes. We can feel more comfortable in a place which matches how we feel internally. The objective of this exercise is to offer participants time to focus on their current feelings about their life through the metaphor of ‘place’; in light of the aforementioned, this often provides insight in ways that exploration through everyday language would not.
