ABSTRACT

This chapter talks about the Minor Tops and Bottoms that give people important hooks on which to hang their technical operations. Stop-order levels, trendlines, objectives, and Supports and Resistances are determined by these Minor Tops and Bottoms. The chapter uses each Minor Top as a Basing Point in a Bull Move. It considers the Tops of each rally and also each Minor Bottom as Basing Points for the protective stops in the same way. The Basing Points Procedure may set Basing Points on both wave lows and on new highs. Basing Points are merely the marking of highs and lows in full realization that a pattern of higher highs and higher lows is a Bull trend and when that pattern changes to lower highs and lower lows the trend is changing or has changed. A series of moves in a trend will often take place in very regular form.
