ABSTRACT

Contemporary architectural design and practice is characterized by an ever increasing complexity. The direct correlation between the architectural design and the potential of realization, construction methods and detailing with contemporary aesthetic expressions, highlights the integrated architectural design approach in contemporary architecture production (Michael & Phocas 2008). Integration may be achieved through architectural workshops of specific educational context and aims. At the same time, workshops may serve as complementary modules within the architectural curriculum at University level (Michael & Kontovourkis 2013; Michael & Phocas 2010; Michael et al, 2008).
