ABSTRACT
This is a chapter where many possible directions of future development of the BM are presented. Bearing in mind that the FTA and ETA have some deficiencies, we provide a brief explanation of the methods that are improving these deficiencies. These methods for the FTA are Hip HOPS, Component Fault Tree (CFT), State/Event Fault Tree, Binary Decision Diagrams (BDD), and BDMP (Boolean logic Driven Markov Processes). These methods for ETA are Containment Event Tree (CET) Analysis and Dynamic Event Tree Analysis Method (DETAM). This does not mean that they can be automatically used as improvements of the FTA and ETA because for the time being, the BM in this shape has proved itself as the best choice.
