ABSTRACT
Here, the particular case regarding the FTA for Instrumental Landing System (ILS) in aviation is presented with the intention of showing how to execute the FTA in practice. This is a case of practical implementation and all pitfalls and problems are mentioned. Everything that is in general explained for the FTA procedure is presented here, starting from the beginning of the procedure to the final calculations. This chapter is also used to present the integrity of the FTA. For this purpose, all of the Boolean and probability calculations are explained step by step.
