ABSTRACT

Politics is the way of the golden mean. The golden mean is the balance point between extremes. A happy society is one in which everyone has an opportunity for self-realization, while respecting the self-realization of others. The first golden principle of a happy society is cooperation. The second golden principle is that everyone should be happy, but not at the expense of others. The third principle is virtues of citizens and wisdom of leaders. The fourth principle is education for knowledge and virtue. The fifth principle is good laws. The sixth principle is political knowledge. The seventh principle is the continuity of generations. Revolutions usually lead us to disappointments. There is nothing in culture that can be built completely anew. Progress occurs not only because of new ideas, but also because of our better understanding and use of old resources. The vigor of ideas depends on their continual renewal in novel forms, and not in their continuity without change.
