ABSTRACT
Daniel Schugurensky for Paulo Freire inquiry is a political act which focuses on economic and educational institutions. His critical pedagogy is anchored in schools, classrooms, adult literacy and rural extension programs. Henry Giroux Paulo’s critical pedagogy is dangerous to those in power because central to its very definition is the commitment to educate oppressed persons to become critical agents who actively question the systems of oppression in their own lives. Peter McLaren and Henry GirouxIn his more optimistic moment Paulo saw himself engaging in a pedagogy of liberation, a pedagogy of happiness, a pedagogy of joy, a pedagogy of laughter, a belief in history as a possibility. Peter McLaren Personal experience is the foundation of the pedagogy of the oppressed. That is persons must be able to connect their experiences with personal troubles to concrete situations.
