ABSTRACT
With the benefits of insight from the case studies, this chapter revisits the benign fallibility syndrome and ventures into sets of recommendations for the governance and management of foundations as well as addressing the role of grantees. It makes a strong case for proactive management to address the benign fallibility syndrome. Such a management approach includes the entire governance structure of foundations and encompasses all stakeholders, in order to amplify signals and incentives.
