ABSTRACT

The assessment of mental burden is not simple due to individual features of every human, which directly influence his/her mental state while he/she performs operations in a given position. Mental fatigue can be measured with various indicators, among others influenced by fatigue will be (Butlewski, Dahlke, Drzewiecka 2016): (1) responsiveness to stimuli, (2) threshold tests, (3) sensorimotor activities, (4) subjective fatigue assessment, (5) the impact of fatigue on effeciency and quality of work. Additionally, mental effort can be analyzed in different aspects: physiological, mental, and the combination of both. To assess work-related mental burden in a given position, the work process must be divided into three stages, as shown below (Figure 1).
