ABSTRACT

The tools in this chapter invite clients to reflect on their own characters and consider how their strengths, values and motivations might best be accommodated within the workplace. The first technique described comes from positive psychology and encourages individuals to identify their strengths. The second technique links interests and values and aims to allow clients to identify what really matters to them. The final technique focuses on career motivation, enabling clients to work out which of eight career anchors best reflects their interests and values.
