ABSTRACT

Attempting to view the world in a more upbeat manner, the author tried to change his perception of his adventure to opening up hitherto new vistas and horizons for his life. His new life presented two choices. Either he could go back to his pre-adventure self and pretend nothing had happened, or he could make the most of the chance to start a new. One key issue he found himself musing over for the longest time was his future working career. He felt that if he returned fully to his pre-adventure job that would be recognition that his adventure had not negatively affected his intellectual capacity. In the whirlwind of feelings, another emotion came to the fore and subdued the storm, pride. In the same way that it had propelled him out of his wheelchair and to his feet, it whispered to him that he wouldn't be able to stomach a life empty of meaning.
