ABSTRACT

This chapter shows how to adopt the results from decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) for two analytics: influential network relations maps (INRMs) and DEMATEL-based analytic network process (DANP) influential weights. It aims to illustrate the required steps for forming an INRM and DANP influential weights by some examples. The DEMATEL technique is adopted as the starting point to identify the cause–effect influential relations among the attributes of a problem. The DEMATEL technique is extended to calculate the influential weight of each attribute, by using the basic concept of ANP. The chapter aims to resolve the conventional multiple criteria decision making applications issues. It explains a case for problem solving using hybrid dynamic multiple attribute decision making with a numerical example. Once decision makers plan to solve a ranking or selection problem, those analytics can be synthesized with the available alternatives to form the final score of each alternative.
