ABSTRACT
The cohesive environment makes the diverse crowd in these charities naturally reach a consensual and balanced understanding of Islam. This chapter analyses how, for example, volunteers holding strict perceptions of religion become more flexible through a unique pedagogy. Providing safe and convivial spaces and giving young people the opportunity to build their identity, this chapter also explains how these charities are incredibly attractive for the current generation and generate strong social capital.
