ABSTRACT
My academic background is in theatre studies, social anthropology and eco-
studies and sustainability. My doctoral fieldwork, ‘Theatre, Ritual and
Transformation’, took place in the Malaysian rainforest with a tribal people,
the Senoi Temiar, where I was studying ritual and performance.
