ABSTRACT

In this chapter, we will present some applications for which some of the presented algorithms can be used, especially LPCN and D-LPCN. We will also show how to adapt LPCN or RR-LPCN to the case of pixel graphs, where instead of choosing pixels based on their polar angles, we can just choose them based on their polar order. Our first example shows how to find boundary nodes of a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) and how to detect whether a node on the boundary is faulty. The second example explains how to find gaps and voids in WSNs. The third one is on the extraction of complex clusters in a set of two-dimensional data, and the last one shows how to draw a contour of a zone of interest within an image, application that we highlight by an example from medical image processing and one from fingerprint detection. Finally, we conclude the chapter by presenting the concept of angle graphs.
