ABSTRACT
Give each child an instrument. Start the music and tell them to start shaking their instruments in time with the music. Switch off and hold up your hand in the 'Stop!' gesture, saying 'Stop!' Repeat the stop/start sequence several times, using words and gestures, and finally stopping the gestures and relying on the verbal commands alone.
