ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on a CD which contains the Mindbalancing meditation programme. It can be used as a programme in itself or be combined with Mindfulness practices. Relaxation, Pranayama and the work with energy centres and the five elements are used to balance the mind–body–energy system. Muscular relaxation and energisation allow energy to move more freely throughout human body. By tensing and relaxing different muscle groups people remove tension and blocks in their body, creating a sense of inner spaciousness. At the end people are also using a Pranayama technique which has a balancing effect on body and mind. Breathing relaxation teaches people how to use diaphragm breathing to achieve deep relaxation. Mindbalancing meditation is in four tracks, guiding people on a journey from the outer mind of the senses to the inner mind of the soul. It uses the concepts of the energy centres and the five elements.
