Helping participants to focus It has been found that sucking or chewing and fiddling or doodling can assist with attention control. It is suggested that organisers provide a variety of (mainly sweet with some savoury) snack foods. Select items of different sizes, shapes, textures, tastes and smells. Allow approximately six items per person per threehour session. Participants can select their own favourites to have to hand during sessions. Water should also be available throughout the sessions.
