Would You Rather

This takes a simple task (asking someone to choose between two concepts) and turns it into a fun formative assessment. The teacher presents two choices (e.g., “Would you rather meet President Washington or President Lincoln?”) and asks students to choose and explain why. Answers can be written or presented orally. The teacher then determines levels of student understanding based on their responses.
