ABSTRACT

This chapter is designed to help the children to develop their language and communication skills and to access parts of the curriculum. They experience stories and topics through innovative games and activities and through guided discussion. The programme is built around the fundamentals of delivering sessions to children with speech, language and communication need, but also the techniques can be used for all children and link into the high-quality teaching expectations. This programme includes national curriculum various aspects so that participants are following objectives from the curriculum in addition to improving their speech, language and communication. The levels of questioning technique are a key technique that can be used within this intervention programme during activities and at the end of sessions. Evaluations are for practitioners to monitor what skills are being worked on in each session and any information they want to record to help plan future sessions. It is useful to keep records of sessions throughout the programme.
