ABSTRACT
While it is not envisaged that children will raise issues of concern at this stage, it is possible that, as the sessions develop, a child may reveal a safeguarding concern at some point during the programme. It is very important to establish an atmosphere where children feel safe to participate and raise issues in a safe and trusting environment. Therefore, this first session is about laying down the foundations for building relationships of trust between the children and the adults involved.
