ABSTRACT
Making websites easy to understand is an important way of respecting the rights
of people to access information in ways they can understand. It also respects their
right not to be excluded from opportunities that other people have. Companies
and services are now required by law to provide equal access to information and
services. It is against the law to treat a disabled person ‘less favourably’ than
non-disabled people.
