ABSTRACT

Visual timetables (which may also be called visual schedules, picture schedules

or activity schedules) are used to show the order of events, routines or activities.

Not knowing what is going to happen or who is going to support a person can be

a source of anxiety for people with a learning disability. Having a timetable with

information on it that people can access themselves can help people to feel more in

control and can increase their independence.
