ABSTRACT

Start by practising with your child those strings of sounds that he or she can achieve

easily, for example (to be filled in by speech and language

therapist). Then move on to other easier ones, for example

Vary the vowel sounds you use (ay, ee, eye, oh, etc). Also vary your volume, making

some sounds quietly and others louder. Make the tone of your voice go up and down.

During these sessions, let your child feel your face and lips and also his or her own.
