ABSTRACT
The earliest games involve looking for someone who is hiding and taking pleasure in finding them. Peekaboo is perhaps the first game that infants play and is made up of just these elements: looking for someone who is hiding and who knows they are being looked for, the excitement that this knowledge brings and the final dramatic act of being found. Playing such games is an immensely emotional experience that is related to the attachment behaviours of children and their parents.
