ABSTRACT
When Pip first approached Ian to discuss an idea he had come up with they had no
idea that it would go beyond the remit of the initial audience of young people who
found reading a challenge. Sitting in Pip’s meeting room, Ian sketched out their first
thoughts on a piece of cardboard, before transferring it onto a piece of paper. Once
produced it was a spiky winter tree with some of the Blobs which are found on the
current tree.
