ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses various methods, their alternatives, and related comments to guide the group members for exploring colour. The group members are encouraged to copy the images and colours chosen. They are encouraged to try the same image with different paper and media. Some people may feel nervous about working in this way, especially if new to groups or using colour. They may prefer to observe others to begin with. Sometimes, when relating colour to feelings, people may be reminded about experiences that could make them emotional. It is important to acknowledge this, validate the person's response, and to reassure them that this happens. Make supportive contingency plans and try to end the session on a positive, humorous and colourful note.
