ABSTRACT

Distraction management can be highly productive and profitable for individuals, their performance, and relationships with others and in reducing costs to organisations (Moran, 2004). Effective DM is something that we all need to learn. Yet DM does not seem to be taught in school, college, university, or in the world of work. We need to look to the psychology of concentration in sports to appreciate how important distraction management is for sports performers (Moran, 2004).
