ABSTRACT

Distraction management is central to understanding and improving concentration. The better we can become at identifying and managing our facilitators and distractors, the more we can focus and maintain our level of concentration. However, the more significance or value distractors have for an individual, the more likely there is to be disruption and disequilibrium in their domains of concentration. Also, the greater instability in the domains of concentration, the more invasive distractors can be, adversely affecting concentration. An important goal in maintaining and improving concentration is to manage distractors. Effectively managing facilitators and distractors helps us to keep the process of concentration in balance.
