Albert was an expert spin bowler and he would delight in making the ball curve in an arc
away from my bat. No matter how hard I tried, I could not get to his best timed spin bowls.
But just like the Australian ‘boy from Bowral’, batsman Don Bradman, who was my childhood
hero, I devoted hours to perfecting my batting style.
