ABSTRACT

This chapter expands the professional school counselor’s understanding of embedded, integrated technology used through a comprehensive school counseling program. Technology, in its multiple forms, can tremendously aid accountability, management, and delivery systems in a framework such as the ASCA national model, which directly support the themes of leadership, collaboration, and systems change. Technologies now afford greater access to resources, data storage, collaborative efforts, and program improvement. This chapter will also cover types of integrated technology, program technological development, and ethical considerations. Multiple examples of technology apps, video conferencing, file sharing, data systems, and other technology platforms are included.
