ABSTRACT
In Chapter 3 it was pointed out that most types of East-W est co operation consisted in a lasting, contractually agreed, functional collaboration. The relations between the parties in a cooperative undertaking are institutionalized only if there is capital participa tion [1 ] . In these cases it has proved necessary to secure these institutionalized relations by establishing a set of specific legal regulations for them (see Chapter 6).
