The types of industrial cooperation between East and West may be classified in different ways, and a number of system s have been proposed [1, 2 ], The first section of this chapter provides one possible classification; the second section d iscu sses the way in dustrial cooperation is actually delimited in practice; and the third section exam ines the most important types of cooperation.
