ABSTRACT

Party discipline is a necessary condition to guarantee that the Party line is implemented, that the Party's unity is strengthened, that the Party organization is purified, that the proletarian dictatorship is consolidated, and that revolutionary victory is achieved. The insistence on observing the Party's unified discipline is especially important in the period of proletarian dictatorship. To observe Party discipline, the people must act according to the stipulations of the Party Constitution and work hard to assure that individuals are subordinate to the organizations, the minority to the majority, the lower levels to the higher levels, and the entire Party to the Central Committee. When the people enforce Party discipline, the people must strictly distinguish between the two different types of contradictions, employ different strategies to treat them differently, and handle the matter correctly. In the process of enforcing discipline, the people must pay attention to avoiding the two-sided flaw of being either too strict or too lenient.
