ABSTRACT
The first fatality I investigated occurred at about 9 am on a pleasant Tuesday in June. I was in the corporate office, working on something that seemed important until a coworker answered our department phone and told me that a grain elevator in Kansas was on the line. They had a worker go missing that morning, they had found him in a bin of corn a few minutes ago, and he was unresponsive.
