ABSTRACT

A Cue Cart is a collection of cues that operates in a non-linear function with no Play head, Auto-follows, or Auto-continues. Visually, a Cue Cart looks quite similar to a traditional drum machine, with a series of cells that can be triggered by touch. The Grid Size tab is a tool used for setting up the Cue Cart into a series of columns and rows. Cue Carts can be used for a number of different purposes. One obvious purpose is the ability to make a tactile interface for triggering cue playback. Consider the possibility of a performer onstage making choices for the playback of sound effects or projections and having the ability for those cues to respond interactively. When a Cue Cart is selected, there are three tabs inside the Inspector at the bottom of the screen: Basics, Triggers, and Grid Size.
