ABSTRACT

Each Video or Camera Cue has a library of video effects to choose from that can be applied to the image/video file or camera feed. Selecting exposure in the drop-down menu will activate the exposure video effects preset. Color controls offer basic video/image editing options of saturation, brightness, contrast, and hue angle. Exposure is a photography term that relates to the amount of light that is allowed to transfer onto the film. Gamma refers to a digital method of coding and decoding the brightness values of both still and moving images. The white point is the color value within the photo that is determined to be neutral. One thing that can lead to a bit of confusion for the beginner is that the blending modes are listed in alphabetical order rather than being grouped by their function. Video Effects present a wide range of new opportunities for the using QLab for projection design/integrated media.
