ABSTRACT

The QLab workspace is a powerful interface for creating and implementing sound, video, lighting designs, and more. Cues are the foundation of most traditional control systems for live performance, be it lighting, sound, effects, or projections. For Pre-Wait, Action, and Post-Wait columns, time information can be displayed in one of two different modes: Time Elapsed or Time Remaining. Cue sequences essentially mean the order in which cues progress and how they interact with subsequent cues. The second row of the Workspace is a graphic interface called the Toolbar. The Toolbar is visually divided into seven different sections: Groups, Audio, Video, Lighting, Fades, Network/MIDI, and Control Cues. The Toolbox is a hidden interface very similar in function to the Toolbar. Pressing K will open the Toolbox in the left side of the cue list window. A cue cart is a collection of cues that operates in a non-linear function with no Play head, Auto-follows, or Auto-continues.
