ABSTRACT

Two of the most important functions of any sound system are playback and reinforcement. QLab 3 integrated Mic Cues to add reinforcement capabilities. The audio device takes input signals from one or more microphones connected to its input channels and then sample these signals to send them back to the computer via the digital connection. A buffer is a region of memory storage on computer that is used to temporarily hold data while it is being moved from one place to another. Like the Audio Cue, the Mic Cue has a number of settings that should be established before inserting a cue into the workspace. Like the Audio Cue before, the Mic Cue must be connected to a Mic Patch that sends the signal back to the audio device. The process of assigning the audio effect to a device output is quite similar to that of a cue output.
