ABSTRACT

No sound system would be considered functional without the ability to start, stop, or pause an audio file. In the case of QLab, these functions are provided in the form of three different Control Cues. The Stop Cue behaves in the same fashion as the Start Cue, accepting another cue as its target, except that when fired it will stop the playback of the targeted cue rather than starting it. The Devamp Cue allows for complex musical composition that matches the action onstage. The Devamp Cue is used in conjunction with a looped Audio Cue to end a loop cycle. When fired, the targeted Audio Cue will play through its final loop and then continue to play the audio file. Arm and Disarm cues are frequently used as a component of the cueing and tech process. To change the wait duration, simply input the desired wait time in the Action column of the cue row.
